Tuesday, January 16th, 2024 -- 8:00 AM

Wood County Snowmobile trails maintained by the Rudolph River Rovers and Sunset Drifters are opening today.

A portion of the trail maintained by the Vesper Snow Drifters will open at that time as well. Trails running from Vesper south to the Wood County ATV Intensive Use Area on HWY 54, and from Vesper southeast to Wisconsin Rapids, are open.

All trails maintained by the Kellner Knights remain open. Trail conditions vary, please use caution. All other trails remain closed at this time. Powers Bluff tube and ski hills will be OPEN this Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 20th and 21st.

Sessions are from 10-1 and 1-4. Concessions are provided by the Arpin Lions Club. The multi-use and single track trails have been groomed and are ready for use. The Nepco Lake County Park multi-use trail has been groomed for cross country skiing.

During the winter months, this trail is only open for cross country skiing. All other users must use the single track trail. The Richfield 360 County Forest multi-use trails are open for use but have not been groomed.

County Trail maps can be found on the Wood County Parks and Forestry Department website. Please ride with caution at lake and river crossings. Please check their website, Facebook, and Instagram pages, or Travel Wisconsin for updated opening and closing information.
