FERAL PIGS LABELED WILD, HARMFUL

Gov. Jim Doyle has signed a bill into law that declares wild pigs harmful wild animals.Wild pigs have been a problem in southwestern Wisconsin for years. Their rooting destroys the ground and crops, and officials believe feral pigs may have led to the spread of pseudorabies in Clark County over the summer.
Designating the pigs as harmful means no one can possess, sell, buy, display or rehabilitate one.
