Reminder: Dog and Cats Must be Vaccinated for Rabies in the City of Marshfield
Tuesday, January 9th, 2024 -- 11:01 AM
Just a reminder, dogs and cats must be vaccinated for rabies by a licensed veterinarian in the City of Marshfield.
The veterinarian will then issue a rabies certificate explaining the vaccination and expiration date, which is good for one or three years. At the time of vaccination, a rabies tag will be provided. The rabies tag from the veterinarian is not a license.
City ordinance states all cats and dogs living within the city limits of Marshfield and are five months of age or older must be licensed annually. Licenses are available at City Hall, 207 W 6th Street, Marshfield, upon showing the pet's rabies certificate.
City Hall is open Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and Fridays, 7:30 a.m. until noon.
