ARMED ROBBERY AT MARSHFIELD DRUGSTORE

It appears prescription drugs were the target of an armed robbery at Marshfield's Walgreens drugstore Monday afternoon.Marshfield Police chief Joe Stroik says the robbery occurred at around 2:40. The suspect, a white male, is believed to have fled on foot after taking OxyContin and Oxycodone.
"We are looking for a male in his early 20s, wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, lighter washed-out blue jeans, white tennis shoes," Stroik says, "A black scarf was used to conceal his identity."
Stroik says witnesses believe they saw the suspect running westbound from the store.
"During the robbery, there was a handgun brandished. We don't know where he is at this point," Stroik says.
The Marshfield Police Department does have money available for tips that help solve the crime, Stroik notes.
