Ho-Chunk Nation Donates to New Playground Equipment for Wyeville Elementary School in Tomah

The Ho-Chunk Nation has given a sizeable donation towards new playground equipment for Wyeville Elementary School in Tomah.

This generous contribution along with the donations from our other amazing supporters, will finally put this project into motion. Mr. Gnewikow excitedly shared the news with Wyeville families: "I want to send out a massive thanks to the District 2 Tomah Area Board and the Ho-Chunk Nation Legislative Branch for their amazing donation of $40,000 to our playground project."

"With this donation, I am confident that we will be breaking ground on a new playground during the summer of 2024. How incredible! Thanks to the Ho-Chunk Nation and everyone else who has contributed to this project!!"

Presenting the check are Rep. Stephanie Begay and Ho-Chunk Nation Executive Director of Education Ryan Crain Sr. as well as members of the Tomah community. Receiving the check on behalf of Wyeville Elementary School is Principal Tim Gnewikow and Superintendent Dr. Mike Hanson.

Included is a rendering of what the playground will look like when completed! We can't wait to see our Wyeville students laughing, playing, and making memories here!
