Colby SADD Students Host Grim Reaper Day

Colby SADD students hosted a Grim Reaper Day for students grades 8-12 on Monday Dec 18th. 

Approximately 28 people are killed each day by drinking and driving accidents. Throughout the day the grim reaper roamed the halls picking victims. Victims then wore a t-shirt stating that they were killed by a drunk driver and now were only a memory and could no longer speak, signifying  that they died in an accident.

Police officers went in with the grim reaper & gave scenarios of the accident that took their lives. At 2:30 there was a school wide assembly with a speaker who was arrested as a drunk driver.  Hopefully, this will help students make good decisions about drinking and driving.
