In the true spirit of community and the holiday season, MMCCU teamed up with Marshfield Area United Way to make a meaningful impact on the lives of underprivileged families in the community.

Recognizing the increased strain on local food pantries, MMCCU took a proactive approach to support families in need during these challenging times. MMCCU purchased and packed 65 Christmas meals, carefully curated to bring joy and warmth to those facing financial hardships this holiday season.

Each family receiving a Christmas box will find a complete festive meal, including a succulent ham, potatoes, gravy, green beans, pie, and all the trimmings to create a delicious Christmas feast. David Murphy, President of MMCCU, expressed the credit union's commitment to community and the core values that define credit unions.

"Credit unions are all about community, and we believe in giving back to those who need it the most. This holiday season, we wanted to make a meaningful difference in the lives of families facing challenges. Our goal is to spread joy and show that we are here for our community."

The local food pantries, which typically provide support during this time of year, are facing unprecedented demand, leaving them overwhelmed. MMCCU recognizes the urgency of the situation and has targeted their assistance towards families enrolled in the Nutrition on Weekends program.

By partnering with Marshfield Area United Way, MMCCU not only provided essential support but also demonstrated the power of collaboration in addressing community needs. As MMCCU continues to exemplify the credit union philosophy of "People Helping People," they encourage other organizations to join the effort and make a positive impact on the lives of those facing hardships this holiday season.
