OWEN BUSINESS BENEFITS FROM TAX CREDIT

A northern Clark County business is taking advantage of Agriculture Development Zone tax credits.Governor Doyle announced Tuesday that Uber Meats, Inc. of Owen has been awarded $125,000 in tax credits through the program.
Uber Meats is a custom meat-cutting and packing business that started in 2007. These tax credits will be used to assist them in their plan to renovate and equip a 10,800 sq. ft. facility in Owen. The total cost of the project is estimated to be $874,000, with 24 new jobs being created.
The Agriculture Development Zone program provides tax credits which help attract, promote, retain, and encourage the expansion of agriculture businesses in Wisconsin.
