Marshfield’s New Pizza Hut Open Now

(Jamie Rokus, Marshfield News Herald) If you've been waiting for the new Pizza Hut location in the city to open, the wait is over.

According to Jamie Rokus with the Marshfield News Herald, a spokesperson for PH Hospitality Group, which operates the restaurant, told the Marshfield News-Herald Thursday morning the new restaurant received its certificate of occupancy Wednesday and opened for business Thursday.

The new Marshfield Pizza Hut at 2112 N. Central Ave. is located in front of Menard's and next door to Applebee's. The restaurant will provide delivery and carryout service for its guests and will be a brand-new, state-of-the-art facility, the spokesperson said.

The restaurant also offers a pick-up lane and window for guests who have placed their orders ahead of time either by phone or online. When the order is ready, customers can drive up to the window to pick it up.

About 30 dine-in seats will be available inside the restaurant as well as several seats for carryout customers who arrive before their order has been completed. Customers can order from the full Pizza Hut menu at the new location.

That includes all pizza options, wings, melts, pastas, breadsticks, cheese sticks, desserts, drinks and more. Pizza Hut lost its lease at its former location at 1407 N. Central Ave. and closed its doors there Aug. 28. According to city officials, the former Pizza Hut restaurant will become a Valvoline Express.

The building at 1407 N. Central Ave., the former home of Pizza Hut, was built as a Rocky Rococo pizza restaurant that opened in February 1985. In September 1989, Pizza Hut announced it would take over the restaurant, and opened there two months later.

It was Pizza Hut's second location in the city at that time, as another Pizza Hut restaurant operated on the city's south side at 1004 S. Central Ave.
