Presents for Parents Looking for Donations for Kids to “Shop” for Their Parents; Donation Due This Tuesday, December 12th

Presents for Parents is collecting gifts for children to give their moms, dads, grandparents, and guardians this holiday season.

Presents for Parents is a program that works with kids that provides them an opportunity to holiday “shop” for their parents. Gifts can include items like winter hats and gloves, water bottles, coffee tumblers, socks, and other similar items.

Presents for Parents’ mission is to foster a spirit of generosity among the children they serve by providing an opportunity for them to experience the reward and emotions of giving. I spoke with Trisha Mayer and she described the program in more detail, the history of the program, the kind of donations they’re looking for, and more.

Again, the donations are due by December 12th and can be dropped off at any Weiler’s Convenience Store. On December 14th, from 5pm-7:30pm, kids can “shop” at Simplicity Mortgage Center, at 103 S. Central Avenue in Marshfield, while supplies last.

Volunteers will also wrap the presents for the kids, but small gift boxes, bows, and name tags are needed. If you have any further questions, you can contact Trisha at 715-387-2188.
