Medford Man Killed Following Loader Accident in Taylor County

A Medford man was killed following a loader incident at a sawmill in Taylor County.

According to the Taylor County Sheriff’s Office, on December 5th, around 3:27pm, authorities received a report that a man had been run over by a loader at the Crass Sawmill at W3638 State Highway 64 in the Town of Browning.

When deputies arrived, they found 43-year-old Mark Frischman of Medford dead on the ground with severe head trauma. Investigators said Frischman was talking with another person in the driveway close to a load that was unloading a semi-truck.

The other person walked away and, when he turned back, Frischman had been run over by the loader. The operator of the loader was backing up and not equipped with a backup camera or alarms.

The operator was unaware that Frischman was standing in the path of the loader as he was backing up. There were other semis and equipment there making it difficult for Frischman to hear. The incident is under investigation.
