Age: 3-Years-Old
Breed: Blue Heeler and Norwegian Elkhound
Sparky is the CCHS Pet of the Week! Sparky is a mix of Blue Heeler and Norwegian Elkhound. He was surrendered to CCHS from a local farm where he liked to chase the sheep, and it wasn't to make friends. :-) Sparky is 3 years old and weighs 35#.
He is a handsome fellow with a medium-length coat of black, tan and gray. He has perky ears and a fluffy tail, too. Sparky has just been neutered and microchipped, so he's all ready to be adopted. He's dreaming of a new home where he can be an inside dog and not left alone outside in the cold.
He's a smart boy but a tad shy when meeting new people. Give him a little bit to adjust, and you'll be best buddies in no time. Oh, and it seems he likes to chase cats too, so it will be best if there aren't any in his new family.

This Saturday! Santa and Mrs. Claus will be at CCHS for "Pet Pictures With Santa"! They will be at the Shelter on December 9th from 11:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. They are happy to take pictures with all kinds of pets, from cats and dogs to rats and goats!
Professional photography services will be provided. Pictures will be available for purchase as prints, email or on a flash drive. No appointment is needed. Please bring your pets and make some great Holiday memories! Complete details are available on our website.
