Several local Fire Departments donated over 1,100 food items for the Marshfield Area United Way’s NOW Program.
Between the Chili-Fremont Fire and Rescue, Town of Lincoln Fire Department, Spencer Fire Department & Ambulance Service, and Granton Area First Responders/Granton Area Fire Department, 1,127 food items and $2,335 will be dropped off at the Marshfield Area United Way for the NOW program.
That will sponsor 16 kids. Their small towns sure stepped up to support their Fire Departments in the challenge and the kids in their communities. They are so proud.
Chili is the winner of the challenge. For their "treat" from the other departments, they are considering it fulfilled. It is "treat" enough for them that everyone all accepted the challenge and helped them help the kids.
One of their members said it best, "The point here is that the kids win no matter which department wins, just like when we back each other on a fire."
