A children's advocate has applauded the actions of 2 parents who learned of a party their daughter was hosting by monitoring her MySpace page on the Internet, and then alerted authorities.A Marathon County Sheriff's Department report says deputies issued 29 underage drinking citations Friday night after the town of Wausau couple learned of the party while they were in Minnesota and then returned to Wausau.
Family Resource Center manager Linda Salzman says calling the authorities was a perfect natural consequence for the teens.
The parents stopped at the Sheriff's Department after returning to Wausau, spoke with officers and then went home to verify that there was indeed a party. They then called officers and the father blocked the driveway.
Deputies arrived and issued the drinking citations to partygoers ranging in age from 17 to 20.
