Senator Baldwin and Senate Democrats Statement on Regarding Humanitarian Aid to Civilians in Gaza

(Bob Hague, WRN) US Senator Tammy Baldwin is urging humanitarian aid for Gaza.

The Wisconsin Democrat joined other Senate Democrats in a weekend statement. They acknowledge Israel’s right to defend itself against Hamas, but say Israel also has the obligation under international law to minimize harm to civilians and allow humanitarian aid to reach those who are suffering.

They write that based on the consensus opinion of U.S. and international aid officials, it is nearly impossible to deliver sufficient humanitarian aid to protect civilian life under current conditions.
