Pizza Hut Opening at New Location in Marshfield Soon

(Jamie Rokus, Marshfield News Herald) Pizza Hut will soon return to the city.

According to Jamie Rokus with the Marshfield News Herald, a spokesperson for PH Hospitality Group, which operates the restaurant, said they anticipate opening the new Marshfield Pizza Hut at 2112 N. Central Ave. in mid-November.

It is located in front of Menard's and next door to Applebee's. Pizza Hut lost its lease at its former location at 1407 N. Central Ave. and closed its doors there Aug. 28, the spokesperson told the Marshfield News-Herald Thursday.

The new Pizza Hut restaurant will provide delivery and carryout service for its guests and will be a brand new, state-of-the-art facility, the spokesperson said. According to city officials, the former Pizza Hut restaurant will become a Valvoline Quick Lube.

The building at 1407 N. Central Ave., the former home of Pizza Hut, was built as a Rocky Rococo pizza restaurant that opened in February 1985. In September 1989, Pizza Hut announced it would take over the restaurant, and opened there two months later.

It was Pizza Hut's second location in the city at that time, as another Pizza Hut restaurant operated on the city's south side at 1004 S. Central Ave.
