Neillsville Fire Responds to Gas Leak

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a report of a gas leak Thursday evening.

According to Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer, around 9:30 pm Thursday evening they received a report of a gas odor at 301 Grand Ave. in Neillsville. When they arrived, they were met by WE Energies. There was a small leak of natural gas in the basement. They repaired the leak that evening.

The Department was on scene for 15 minutes and they had no injuries on their part. There were no other injuries and no damage to the home. The Neillsville Police Department was also on standby.
