Wisconsin Homes Available for Purchase in Short Supply

(Ted Ehlen, WRN) Homes available for purchase are in short supply in Wisconsin.

That’s according to a new report from the Wisconsin Realtors Association, which says the state has about a three month supply right now. The association says in a balanced market, the available supply would be more like six months.

In addition, higher mortgage rates are allowing that low supply of houses for sale in Wisconsin to stretch further. The report also says owners of homes who might consider selling them are hesitant to list their homes because purchasing a new one would lead to getting a higher interest rate.
