Stanley Police Department Chases Escapee of the Bovine Variety

Some residents in Stanley had their own personal rodeo in their neighborhoods as there was a four-legged escape of the Bovine variety within the City of Stanley.

The driver of a truck that was hauling cattle had stopped in Stanley and was adjusting their trailer gate when a heifer decided they weren’t having any more of the transportation arrangements and busted loose, making a run for it near State Highway 29. Thanks to some ingenuity and a lot of teamwork, the heifer was corralled between several parked vehicles, ultimately leading to its safe and successful capture.

Stanley Officer Holty and the driver of the truck want to sincerely thank everyone that provided assistance, allowing for this situation to be safely and effectively resolved without the cattle or anyone else being injured.
