(Raymond Neupert, WRN) Wisconsin's crisis helpline will get some federal funding.
The 9-8-8 helpline was awarded 17 million dollars in federal grants over three years to help hire more staff and increase promotion of the service. Over 60 people currently work for Wisconsin Lifeline, which has 24-7 coverage on both text chat and voice calls.
Governor Tony Evers says the funds will help ensure that people will have support to help save lives.
