Neillsville Fire Department Responds to Farm Machinery Fire Wednesday Afternoon

The Neillsville Fire Department responded to a piece of farm machinery on fire Wednesday afternoon.

According to Neillsville Fire Chief Matt Meyer, they received a call around 12:44pm Wednesday afternoon of a chopper on a fire out in a field. The fire occurred ⅜ of a mile north of Granton Road on Collie Avenue. When they arrived, the chopper was fully engulfed in flames and the Department is unclear on the exact cause.

The Department was on scene for an hour and they had no injuries on their part. They also received some assistance from the Clark County Emergency Management Office.
