Authorities Looking for Suspect in Jackson County Home Invasion

On October 12, 2023, at about 11:55 PM, the Jackson County Sheriff's Office received a call of a home invasion in the Village of Hixton.
The caller reported the male suspect, identified as Anthony Sylvester IV, to brandish a firearm. While inside the residence, Sylvester stabbed another person and fled prior to deputy's arrival. Sylvester was described as wearing a dark gray or black hooded sweatshirt with white strings.
The sweatshirt had a logo on the chest area and he was also observed wearing blue jeans. Sylvester lists at 6 foot tall and 175 pounds, brown hair, and blue eyes. Sylvester has active warrants issued for his arrest through Jackson County. At the time of this press release, Sylvester is considered armed and dangerous. If he is observed, please do not make contact and call 911 immediately.
