A 15-year-old has been referred to Wood County Human Services for the bomb threat that caused an early dismissal at the Marshfield High School on Friday.
On Friday, Marshfield Administration was made aware of some messages in two separate girls’ bathrooms at the high school, referencing a bomb at 1:00 p.m. While they did not believe it was a credible threat, an early dismissal was conducted at the high school out of an abundance of caution.
The Marshfield Police Department, with assistance from the Wood County Sheriff’s K9 Unit, did perform a sweep of the building and nothing was found. Due to the threat not being credible, the varsity football game was held that night and classes have resumed today as normal.
