Two Arrested After Traffic Stop in Marshfield

On Saturday, October 14th, around 1:14pm, the Marshfield Police Department conducted a traffic stop on N. Central Avenue.

The stop was initiated on a vehicle for a non-functioning high mounted stop lamp. During the stop, officers detected the odor of marijuana emanating from the vehicle and a male passenger was found to have a valid Department of Corrections warrant.

After placing the passenger under arrest for the warrant, a search was conducted and drugs and paraphernalia were located. Another male passenger was placed under arrest. Both parties were transported to the Wood County Jail.

Charges will be requested through the Wood County District Attorney's Office.
