Two Teens Killed in Two Vehicle Accident Near Pittsville

On October 9, 2023, at approximately 3:45 a.m., the Wood County Sheriff's Department responded to the intersection of State Highway 73 and Polish Road in the Township of Wood for a two vehicle crash with injuries. 

The initial investigation showed that a vehicle was traveling southbound on Polish Road and failed to stop at the stop sign. As a result, the southbound vehicle was struck by a semi tractor trailer that was traveling eastbound on State Highway 73.

Both the driver and passenger of the vehicle traveling southbound on Polish Road were pronounced deceased on scene. The driver was identified as 14-year-old Quinton Plucinski of Marshfield and the passenger was identified as 16-year-old Conner Ostricki of Stratford, 

This crash remains under investigation by the Wood County Sheriff's Department and the Wisconsin State Patrol. State Highway 73 was closed while the agencies worked. Agencies assisting the Wood County Sheriff's Department were Wood County Dispatch, Pittsville Fire Department, Pittsville Ambulance, and the Wood County Coroner's Office.

The semi was driven by 36-year-old Ravinder Dhillon of Abbotsford and he had a passenger, 28-year-old Gagandeep Sidhu of Abbotsford.
