COLLISION IN WOOD CO. SENDS TWO TO HOSPITAL

A head-on collision in Wood County sent two people to the hospital yesterday afternoon.A vehicle driving by 27-year-old Karli Kirchhoefer of Wisconsin Rapids crossed the centerline of CTH P in the Town of Rudolph yesterday, striking a truck driven by 37-year-old Michael Cooper of Stevens Point.
Cooper, who was wearing his seatbelt, was not injured.
Kirchhoefer, who was also wearing a seatbelt, was injured and airlifted to St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
She was listed in "fair" condition Thursday morning.
The accident happened at around 2:30 p.m.
