According to the Wisconsin State Patrol, a trooper responded to a vehicle crash on CTH CC South of Dewitt Drive, in Lincoln County. In a release Saturday, the trooper that had responded to the crash noticed indications that Barnetzke was impaired prompting the arrest, for his 4th OWI offense.
The charge, however, may change into a 5th offense. Records show he is facing a 4th in Marathon County from a case in 2020 that has not yet been concluded.
Brett Barnetzke is due in court Monday to face his newest charge of a felony, regardless if this is his 4th or 5th OWI offense.
