Marshfield Medical Center Records Department in Marshfield on Lockdown on Wednesday

The Marshfield Medical Center Records Department in Marshfield was on lockdown for about an hour and a half on Wednesday.

MMC security requested officers from the Marshfield Police Department for a potential threat. Security advised the records department was on lock down. Security advised that a 58-year-old Stevens Point man was upset about obtaining medical records and the man stated he was going to show up with "Two Barrels" to come get his records.

The Marshfield Police Department requested a Portage County Deputy make contact with the man at his residence. Further investigation found the man was frustrated/confused, has had two brain surgeries, and just wanted medical records to provide to AFLAC.

The Deputy and the Marshfield Police Department found there was no threat. The man was provided information on how to easily get his medical records. MMC was notified they could resume normal operations.
