An Owen man charged for his connection to a drug overdose death in Clark County entered a plea in Clark County Court on Wednesday.
According to court records, back in November of last year, authorities responded to a report of a vehicle in a ditch at W6210 Sladich Road in Greenwood. When authorities arrived, the driver of the vehicle was out walking around, but the passenger was unconscious and believed to be dead.
A deputy told EMTs about the passengers' drug use. A white substance was found on a $100 bill that had fallen out of the victim’s pocket. EMTs tried to use Narcan on the victim, but there was no reaction and he was later pronounced dead.
An informant told authorities that Jacob Faude had provided the drugs to the victim and the victim used heroin in the past. During his court appearance on Wednesday, Faude was found guilty of manufacturing/deliver schedule I and II narcotics.
Another charge was dismissed and read in. A sentencing date is scheduled for December 19th.
