Clark County Sheriff's Department Welcomes New Patrol Deputy

The Clark County Sheriff’s Department welcomes their newest reserve patrol deputy, Matthew.

Matthew decided to apply to the Clark County Sheriff’s Office because it afforded him the opportunity to continue his career in Law Enforcement. He was impressed by the Sheriff’s Office on his initial visit and could see himself working there.

He and his family relocated from Florida due to his wife being hired as a detective with Clark County in 2022. Matthew is originally from New Orleans, Louisiana. After his enlistment in the Army, he relocated a couple of times before settling in Florida and marrying his wife.

Some of his interests and hobbies include spending time with his family, outdoor activities, cooking, road trips, and video games. Matthew says he has worked in law enforcement since 2015 and has a true passion for the career.

His varying experiences in law enforcement will benefit the citizens and visitors of Clark County well. His five year plan would be to become a full time deputy with Clark County and begin working/learning how to become an effective leader as well as training younger officers.
