Reminder: Wood County Law Enforcement Holding Drug Take Back Day October 28th

Wood County Law Enforcement is holding a Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, October 28th.
The event is being held in partnership with Healthy People Wood County - IMPACT and Marshfield Area Coalition for Youth. If you’re going to drop off your unused or expired medications you must remove prescription labels or black out personal information on the labels.
Or place loose pills in a zip-lock bag and keep liquids in their original containers. There are several location in Wood County acting as hosting sites that day including:
- Marshfield City Hall from 10am-2pm;
- Pittsville Police Department from 9am-Noon;
- The Nekoosa Piggly Wiggly from 8am-11am;
- The Port Edwards Fire Department from 11am-1pm;
- And the Wisconsin Rapids Pick n’ Save from 10am-2pm.
The Town of Rome Police Department, in Adams County, is also hosting a site that day from 10am-2pm. If you can’t make it that day, you can always find permanent drop boxes to dispose of your medications.
