AREA COMPANIES PICK UP DOT AWARDS

Three area companies received excellence in construction awards Wednesday during the DOT's Contractor-Engineer Conference.The Excellence in Grading Award went to Hoffman Construction Company of Black River Falls for its work on WIS 57 in Door County. The $5.7 million dollar, 5?-mile project is part of the four-lane expansion from Green Bay to Sturgeon Bay.
The Excellence in Concrete Paving Award was given to Trierweiler Construction & Supply Company of Marshfield for its work on I-39/90/94 in Dane County.
The Excellence in Small Structures Award was presented to Lunda Construction Company of Black River Falls for its work on the Tomahawk River Bridge and approaches in Oneida County. The 52-foot long bridge in the town of Little Rice serves as the gateway to the DNR's acclaimed Willow Flowage Recreation Area.
