Arpin Man Pleads Not Guilty in Alleged Plot to Kill Two Wood County Correctional Officers

(Mike Leischner, WSAU) An Arpin man has pled not guilty to homicide charges connected with an alleged plot to kill two Wood County Correctional Officers.

According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Jesse Hansen-Schumann is accused of trying to get another inmate in on the plan, which investigators say stemmed from Hansen-Schumann's dislike for the two guards.

Court documents show the 32-year-old had filed more than 40 grievances against them, saying they were making up lies about him. According to the inmate Hansen-Schumann confided in, the plan involved jumping the officers in an area of the jail that didn't have security camera coverage.

The unnamed inmate said he didn't want anything to do with the plot, and didn't want to be involved if Hansen-Schumann were to carry out the plot. He's being held on a one hundred thousand dollar bond, and will return to court in late November.
