(Bob Hague, WRN) A new effort to remove the state’s elections administrator.
Five state Assembly Republicans have introduced a resolution seeking to impeach Wisconsin Elections Commission Administrator Meagan Wolfe. This latest action comes a week after Republicans in the state Senate voted to reject Wolfe’s nomination for a new four-year term as Administrator of the WIsconsin Elections Commission, effectively attempting to fire her.
There’s a lawsuit pending in Dane County Circuit Court seeking to retain Wolfe, who’s been the target of Republicans who’ve criticized WEC’s handling of the 2020 presidential election in Wisconsin.
