One Person Killed in Structure Fire in Tomah

One person was killed after a structure fire in Tomah Tuesday evening.

According to the Tomah Fire Department, around 9:43pm on Tuesday, they responded to a structure fire at the Daybreak Motel at 215 E. Clifton Street in Tomah. A report indicated a man was still inside the structure and smoke could be seen from the apartment building.

The man was removed from the structure and life-saving measures were attempted. However, the man died from his injuries and he was pronounced dead at the scene. The fire was contained to a single unit and is under investigation. No additional information is being released at this time.
