(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A man wanted in connection with a Wausau shooting incident is in custody thanks to an assist from police in Racine.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, officers responded to a well-being check last Friday when someone reported that two men were passed out in a parked vehicle. One of those men turned out to be Nicholas Multani, who had a warrant out of Marathon County.
He was booked into the Racine County Jail and made an initial appearance on Monday for obstructing an officer. He will be extradited to Wausau to face charges of recklessly endangering safety and gun-related offenses for the July incident.
Officers say he was involved in an argument outside a Wausau home when he pulled a gun and fired shots at the building, no one was hurt in the incident, and it's unclear what sparked the argument.
