(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A trial begins today for a former Wausau-area substitute teacher accused of inappropriately touching two students.
Zachary Robins faces one count of sexual assault of a person under the age of 13 after investigators say he touched one girl on her back through a hole in her clothing, saying he meant the act as a joke but later regretted it.
Another student says he touched her backside as well. Robins was working as a sub at a Wausau elementary school when the incident happened, and was arrested three days later while subbing at a neighboring district.
He's entered a not guilty plea to the charges, the trial is expected to last through Thursday.
