Friday, January 25th, 2008 -- 12:14 PM
Wisconsin officials are treating the threat of Emerald Ash Borer much like a terrorist threat, and they're worried the enemy may have infiltrated our borders in disguise. The Wisconsin Department of Agriculture is urging consumers to track down rustic, wooden planter boxes they may have purchased at Wisconsin Lowe's stores.
Officials were notified the planters were made from potentially infested ash wood and were shipped in violation of a federal quarantine.
The boxes are about 2-feet long, 8-inches wide and labeled "Nature's Own Planters" They are about 24 inches long, by 8 inches wide, and made from "slab wood,"
If you have one of these boxes, please call the Wisconsin Emerald Ash Borer toll-free hotline at 1-800-462-2803.
