Clark County Man Sentenced for Sexual Assault of a Child

A Loyal man was sentenced for sexual assault of a child in Clark County Court on Wednesday.

The victim in this case stated that the assaults by Roger Hattamer began when she was eight and lasted for 10 years. She also stated that Hattamer would offer her money or other items for nude pictures.

Back in January, Hattamer pleaded guilty to child enticement and 1st degree child sexual assault. Several other charges were dismissed and read in and a couple were dismissed on the prosecutor’s motion. He was sentenced to 14 years in prison and 7 years of extended supervision.

He was also facing charges in three other counties. He was sentenced to ten years in prison with five years of extended supervision in Taylor County back in August.

This came just a few days after he was sentenced to sixteen years in Rusk County after a jury trial. His charges in Chippewa County were consolidated into another case.
