Number of Animals Coming Into Marshfield Area Pet Shelter Already Exceeds Last Year's Numbers

Animal shelters and rescues are seeing many more animals who need help this year and the Marshfield Area Pet Shelter is no exception.
The number of dogs coming into the shelter this year has already exceeded last year's numbers. They’ve also taken in hundreds of cats and kittens. Pet surrenders are at an all time high and their waitlist to help them is long.
Monetary and supply donations help MAPS sustain their life saving work. Some donations they could really use right includes:
- Tidy Cats CLUMPING Litter,
- Canned PATE Cat Food,
- Dry Cat Food (any brand),
- Purina Dog Chow,
- Greenies Pill Pockets for Dogs,
- Pet Hair Guard Dryer Sheets,
- 39 gal Lawn/Leaf Bags,
- And 1 gallon Zip Storage Bags.
Donations can be dropped off at 3500 Downwind Dr or shipped to them via their Amazon and Chewy wishlists.
Also, Doc Marten is a 5 month old kitten who came to MAPS with a serious leg injury. His x-rays showed that his back leg was so severely broken that it had to be removed. MAPS can only imagine the pain this poor kitty was in before he got to them.
Unfortunately, the cost of his surgery exceeded $800 and depleted their medical fund. Please give if you can to help cover his medical care. Doc Marten is so sweet and he is doing great after his surgery. If you would like to meet him, apply to visit! www.marshfieldpetshelter.org/adopt
