BRF FIRE DEPT. HAS THREE STRUCTURE FIRES IN THREE DAYS

The Black River Falls Fire Department was able to prevent a garage fire from becoming something worse Tuesday.According to a press release, the crew was called to the fire on HWY 54 in the Town of Albion at around 11 a.m. The residents returned home to find smoke coming from their attached garage.
The crew was able to contain the fire to a wall in the garage. There was only minor fire and smoke damage.
That was the 3rd structure fire in three days. All were caused by electrical trouble or heating devices.
The department advises everyone check to make sure heaters are kept well away from combustible materials and aren't overloading their electrical system.
