Wednesday, August 23rd, 2023 -- 8:00 AM
The Greenwood City Council had a continued discussion with the Bowmans Club at their meeting last week.
According to a copy of the draft minutes from the meeting, the Council had a discussion with Bowmans Club president Don Friemoth and member Harold Dillenbeck. The Council would like to see an agreement between the City and the Bowmans Club.
The Council will discuss terms of a possible agreement at the following Council meeting. The Council also approved pay request No. 2 for Haas Sons Inc. project A, a portion of the Miller Street project in the amount of $264,918.41 as well as pay request No. 2 for Haas Sons Inc. project B, a portion of Miller Street project in the amount of $56,389.41.
The Council also approved the quote from Accurate Air Solutions LLC for a Makeup Air Unit for the Treatment Plant in the amount of $19,950. Work includes Sterling Makeup Air Unit, new unit curb, duct work, electrical, crane, removal of old equipment and labor to install.
The Council also approved Cheri Lenz to the Main Street Committee, with two opposed and three voting yes. During reports, City Attorney Bonnie Wachsmuth explained to Council the importance of not discussing or stating opinions during public comment.
Wachsmuth also noted that the survey for the Hinker land was changed slightly. The initial survey had the property going to the middle of the Black River, but a revised survey has the property boundary at the bank of the Black River. It was the surveyor’s error.
The Clerk will see who is to pay the additional recording fee. Wachsmuth also mentioned to the Council a few revisions that are being worked on for the annexation of a parcel land. A few additions are needed in the informational packet for the State.
