Wisconsin GOP Chair Schimming Mentioned in Georgia Indictment of Trump

(Bob Hague, WRN) The chair of the Wisconsin Republican Party is mentioned in the latest indictment of former President Donald Trump.

The indictment issued Monday in Atlanta says Trump and 18 others allegedly attempted to overturn Georgia’s results in the 2020 election. And it refers to a meeting between Trump attorneys Rudy Giuliani and Kenneth Chesebro with Brian Schimming, allegedly discussing alternate Trump electors for Wisconsin.

In a statement, Schimming, who was not state party chair at the time, said Wisconsin Republicans created the slate of false electors to be ready if election results here were tossed out.
