Rib Lake Man Dies in Taylor County ATV Crash

(Karen Madden, Marshfield News Herald) A 48-year-old Rib Lake man is dead following an ATV crash in Taylor County.
According to Karen Mdden with the Marshfield News Herald, at 12:50 p.m. Saturday, a group of people on UTVs found James C. Wacholtz Jr. lying on the road in the 500 block of Lake Shore Drive in the Taylor County village of Rib Lake, according to the Taylor County Sheriff's Office.
When deputies arrived, they found Wacholtz unresponsive. A preliminary investigation found that Wacholtz was riding his ATV when he lost control while attempting to make a right turn in the road, causing the ATV to turn over and eject Wacholtz, according to the Sheriff's Office.
A helicopter took Wacholtz to Aspirus Wausau Hospital, but he died from his injuries, according to the Sheriff's Office. The Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources is investigating the crash.
