Loyal Man Sentenced for Sexual Assault of a Child in Taylor County

A Loyal man facing sexual assault of a child charges in four counties was sentenced in Taylor County on Wednesday.

The victim in this case stated that the assaults by Roger Hattamer began when she was eight and lasted for 10 years. She also stated that Hattamer would offer her money or other items for nude pictures. Hattamer was sentenced to ten years in prison with five years of extended supervision in Taylor County on Wednesday. This came just a few days after he was sentenced to sixteen years in Rusk County after a jury trial.

Back in January, Hattamer pleaded guilty to child enticement and 1st degree child sexual assault in Clark County. Several other charges were dismissed and read in. He’s currently sentenced to serve twenty-six years in prison for the Rusk and Taylor County charges. His charges in Chippewa County were consolidated into another case. He’s scheduled for sentencing in Clark County on September 13th.
