Clark County Fairest of the Fair Candidates: Josie Voigt
Tuesday, August 8th, 2023 -- 2:01 PM
Coming up on Wednesday, August 9th, a new Clark County Fairest of the Fair Candidate will be crowned.
There are five candidates vying for the title this year. One of those candidates includes Josie Voigt. She is a Neillsville High School graduate and is attending the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She is sponsored by the Motorhead Mafia Car Club.
Josie has a major in Biochemistry Pre-Medicine and a double minor in Neuroscience and Behavior as well as Health, Behavior, and Society. She is going to school to be a maternal-fetal medicine practitioner. Josie spends most of her time on homework and studying.
She was honored with the Kaczmarek scholarship this Spring. She is involved in some clubs as the President of the Biochemistry Club and Secretary of the Pre-Med Club. She also tutors students on campus and works in the “STEM Drop-In Center.”
When she does have some free time she likes to bake, read, sing, and craft. During her summer she’s working at GRIT Nutrition in Neillsville, volunteering at the local food pantry, and makes meals for families at the Ronald McDonald House in Marshfield. She also served as the Fairest of the Fair 2nd Attendant this past year.
Once again, the Clark County Fairest of the Fair coronation is being held at the Clark County Fairgrounds tomorrow Wednesday, August 9th at 7pm. The candidates will also have live radio interviews with me on 107.5 WCCN, The Rock tomorrow afternoon.
