(Mike Leischner, WSAU) A Wausau man will serve prison time for delivering a near-fatal dose of heroin last year.
According to Mike Leischner with WSAU, Sou Thao appeared in a Marathon County courtroom last week, where Judge Scott Corbett announced a five-year sentence which includes two years in prison and three years on extended supervision.
Thao provided a middle-man with the drugs, who then sold them to the victim in early 20-22. Officers said the victim required three doses of narcan before being hospitalized due to the overdose.
Terms of the sentence also include absolute sobriety from drugs and alcohol and restitution. The middle-man in the transaction, identified as Ivy Zastrow-Hanson, is currently serving three years in state prison on similar charges.
