Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 -- 11:29 AM
A project that will make Highway 10 four lanes from Stevens Point to Marshfield should be complete by 2012, thanks in part to some additional funding secured in the federal budget.Rep. Dave Obey was able to secure $2.45 million in additional federal dollars for the project in the 2008 Omnibus Appropriation Bill.
The DOT says the money was not anticipated and will help along the $234-million expansion of 31 miles of road.
Activity on the Marshfield end of the project is scheduled to begin in late 2009.
