Wausau PD Identify Tuesday's Drowning Victim
Thursday, July 27th, 2023 -- 3:01 PM
(Raymond Neupert, WRN) Wausau police have identified a woman found dead in the Wisconsin River on Tuesday.
Captain Ben Graham says 55-year-old Tammy Miller was found unresponsive in the water near the city's whitewater course. An autopsy has been scheduled, but Graham says alcohol likely was a factor in Miller's death.
A second person was pulled from the river at that time, but was treated at the scene. Foul play is not suspected.
