Clark County Sheriff's Department Welcomes New Communications Deputy

The Clark County Sheriff’s Department welcomes their newest communications deputy, Mindy.

Mindy, from Loyal, said she applied for the position as it sounded like an interesting job. In the past, she had found herself on the line with dispatchers many times. She can definitely say she can feel what the caller is feeling on the other end of the phone. She likes to help people.

Some of Mindy’s interests and hobbies include showing her goats. She also volunteers as a project leader with Clark County 4-H. She enjoys going to her grandparents cabin in Door County each summer. She likes attending local fairs. Otherwise, aside from that, she's pretty much a homebody.

Mindy said she’ll bring strong communication skills along with great multi-tasking skills. She has worked many jobs over the years and has learned to deal with multiple personalities, which, she feels, is very important in this position.

As for a 5-year plan, she doesn't honestly plan on going anywhere soon. She hopes to grow professionally in this position.
